About MeThis dress was worn by Marion Drysdale at her wedding ceremony at Haddo House Chapel on the 6th of September 1997. The reception was held at the Udny Arms, Newburgh.
This wedding outfit, which features a veil, wedding shoes, a headdress and stockings (all held in the collection), dates from 1997. They were all bought in Glasgow. Although worn towards the end of this decade, the ensemble still displays strong stylistic features from 1980s wedding fashions, like the big, multi-layered skirt, the leg-of-mutton sleeves and the use of synthetic fabrics and machine embroidery.
