About MeLetter to James McBey from friend and art collector H. H. Kynett, dated 23 August 1949. In it Kynett discusses two early sketches by McBey that he had just purchased from Sessler; these were "Tetuan, 20th December, 1912" and "Tangier, 3rd February, 1913."

The letter consists of two sheets typewritten on headed paper.

On the reverse of each page McBey has handwritten a response in pencil, some of which outlines progress of building work at El Foolk, Tangier, which was purchased in 1948. James and Marguerite then officially moved in on New Years Eve 1949.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
