About MeLetter to James McBey from friend and art collector H. H. Kynett, dated 11 October 1948. The letter begins with a lengthy quote from "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie, and Kynett stating that, if McBey continued to read such books he would be accused of "becoming a go-getter." Kynett also tells McBey that Mr. Gowen of the Girard Trust had been asking for McBey, and would like to seem his next time he was in America.

The letter consists of two sheets typewritten on headed paper and stapled, and McBey has made a rough sketch in pen at the back.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
