About MeThis slim porcelain beaker has been thrown on the potter's wheel, with the clay raised to form a very fine thin rim.
The entire beaker is covered in a pale greenish-blue celadon glaze. Celadon is a type of glaze which originated in China and spread to other parts of East Asia. Iron oxide is added to create shades of pale green and blue and with the addition of a greater amount of iron oxide, in shades of olive green and black.
