About MeSquare token bearing inscription on one side only: K.N. 1759. In this case the initials are not those of the minister as is often the case on 18th century tokens but stand for Kirk of Nigg.

The church of Nigg, dedicated to St Fittick, stands today a roofless ruin on an open site on the south side of the mouth of the River Dee. Dating from the 13th century or perhaps even earlier it rivals in its antiquity the much larger and more important Aberdeen medieval churches of St Nicholas and St Machar.
