About MeRectangular with double-outline border; inscribed on one side only as follows: ECHT 1817. The village whose church issued the token is situated about nine miles west of Aberdeen on the B9119 road..

The earliest church in Echt was dedicated to St Finechan and belonged to Scone Abbey, Perthshire. The minister at the time of the issue of the token was The Rev. John Roger who compiled the notes on his parish for the New Statistical Account.

Picturesquely sited at the crossroads in the centre of Echt village, the church bears the date 1804. The square design with large, pointed windows is similar to that of nearby Skene Church.
