About MeThis wedding dress was worn and designed by Bel Cowie (nee Low), an artist born in Dundee in 1943 who later studied at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen. She mainly worked in water-based mediums and is probably best known for her screenprints. She was influenced by Japanese prints and weaving designs, which give her work a delicate feel. Her love for texture and traditional weaving techniques is reflected in her choice of wedding dress. She married Bill Cowie at Ferryhill South Church on the 1st of April 1966.
