About MeThis veil, attached to a wax orange-blossom headdress, was originally worn by a bride in the 1930s, and was later upcycled by her daughter-in-law, together with a full-length ivory wedding dress, to be worn to her own wedding in 1956. The bride sold the ensemble to her daughter-in-law for £5.Orange blossom was the traditional symbol of fertility worn by Victorian brides. It was Queen Victoria who popularised the orange-blossom headdress after wearing one to her wedding to Prince Albert in 1840.
