About MeThis commemorative cup and saucer was produced by Royal Stafford Tableware to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002. It differs from many of the other commemorative jubilee pieces in that it is made of heavy earthenware with a speckled glaze, whilst most other commemoratives are made of fine bone china. Royal Stafford tableware were created by the merger of Royal Stafford China and Barratt's of Staffordshire in 1994 and they are best known for this practical style of tableware and items for hotel and restaurant use.
More About Me

This cup and saucer "feel more real" than others also produced as commemorative items. They seem more substantial, utilitarian, earthier.
