About MeExcavations at the site of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen took place in 1980-1 and 1994. Much of the west end of the friary church and the west range of the cloister were excavated. Materials used in the construction of these buildings were found.
This ceramic floor tile was probably made around Aberdeen, possibly even at the site of the Carmelite friary. This is the upper surface of a tile, which has once been glazed with bright green glaze. Traces of the glaze can be seen at the bottom left.
