About MeExcavations at the site of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen took place in 1980-1 and 1994. Much of the west end of the friary church and the west range of the cloister were excavated. Materials used in the construction of these buildings were discovered.
This is a small fragment from a ceramic floor tile, which may have been made in the Aberdeen area. It is the only example of its type found at this site. It has been glazed in a golden brown and decorated with yellow stripes and spots.
