About MeExcavations at the site of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen took place in 1980-1 and 1994. Much of the west end of the friary church and the west range of the cloister were excavated. Materials used in the construction of these buildings were found.
Several fragments of ceramic objects, like those illustrated here, were found during the excavations. They were thrown on a wheel: the marks made by the fingers of the potter can be seen on the upper example.
