About MeExcavations at the site of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen took place in 1980-1 and 1994. Much of the west end of the friary church and the west range of the cloister were excavated. Materials used in the construction of these buildings were found.
This ceramic floor tile was probably made around Aberdeen, possibly even at the site of the Carmelite friary. It was roughly made and decorated with a yellow glaze. No floor tiles were found in situ but many were found in demolition material.
