About MeExcavations at the site of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen took place in 1980-1 and 1994. Much of the west end of the friary church and the west range of the cloister were excavated. Materials used in the construction of these buildings were discovered.
This virtually complete ceramic floor tile was probably made in the Aberdeen area, and perhaps in the area in which the friary was being constructed. It has been glazed in yellow and has a raised platform in the centre glazed in green.
