About MeThis work was completed after a visit to Berlin where Scobie saw an exhibition on the Surrealist movement, Dada. The artist writes; "I found this very interesting; not the politics or the theory, but the objects and writings themselves which seemed to compliment the pervading sense of poetic tension which was characteristic of the then divided city. I always had an interest in the work of Kurt Schwitters (which was well represented in the Berlin exhibition,) and since I had started work on a book of sculpture just prior to my visit, I decided to include extracts from the number poems and from the phonetic poem 'Orsonate' in the work."
