About MeThese lace sleeves were once part of a wedding dress also held in our collection. The dress follows the very fashionable 'flapper' style that was popular in the 1920s. Dresses often featured low, almost non-existent waistline. Scalloped, and lace petal-edged skirts, were also popular, as were asymmetrical trimmings and draping’s. Most brides of the 1920s chose shorter wedding dresses, their length fluctuating from ankle-length to calf-length, like this one.1930, 1956
