About MeLarge jug of traditional form with bulbous body, tapering towards the foot and concave neck. The body is hand-thrown and distinct potting rings can be seen where the potter has used a rib to create the shape. Rolled rim with integral lip and a pulled strap handle. The jug is fully glazed in a glossy, almost black, glaze, known as Winchcombe Pottery's AK glaze. This glaze features rust iron flecks breaking through, particularly evident around the rim, and yellow-green speckles where fly-ash has fallen.
