1873 - 1961
About MeTrained in General Nursing and Maternity at Aberdeen (Woolmanhill), from 10 February 1899 to 10 February 1902. She left Aberdeen Royla Infirmary on 30 April 1902 to attend midwifery training in London, where she also took the L.O.S. certificate (London Obstetric Society?).

She then worked at Princess Christian's nursing home and with several families as a private nurse.

During World War 1 she worked in Malta and Mesapotamia as a member of the Queen Alexandra Military Nursing Reserve.

In the 1920s she worked as Matron at Eton College and then finally at Dreadnaught Hosptial, Greenwich.

Jane Forbes was born in 1873 and died on October 26th 1961 and is buried at Woburn Sands, Bucks.
