Seb Rochford

Aberdeen, Scotland, born 1973
About MeDrumsticks and Seb Rochford go hand-in-hand. Born into a large family in Aberdeen, Seb taught himself music at an early age by playing along to records. Today he is an award-winning musician and composer, performing with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Seb’s work pushes the boundaries of improvised performance, collaborating with partners such as David Byrne, Yoko Ono and Beck.

As well as composing his own music, he has played drums on Paolo Nutini’s Caustic Love album and Adele’s Mercury Nominated Album 19, and appeared with Pete Doherty in Babyshambles. As bandleader for the experimental group Polar Bear, Seb has been praised for throwing away the rulebook to produce spellbinding, multi-textured music.
