About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, sent from Tangier, dated 28 August 1948. He writes that it is a beautiful and calm evening. He says that since the manhole has been finished, the water has been flowing well. He also says that he is looking forward to England, "depressing though it may be", and that he hopes Marguerite will be happier in Jalobey than he had been for the past two months (see excerpts in ABDAG008318.4).

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
