About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 14 September 1934. McBey writes that he has been extremely busy the past few days, to the extent that he feels "like a diver who sees the daylight get stronger and stronger as he comes up to the surface". He describes a long day's painting, from "8.45am till 6.45pm, with a half hour's break for lunch". He says that he is happy that he is at last going sailing, that "August in London is rather trying".

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
