About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 8 August 1933, and sent from Sussex. The record refers to an envelope containing three sheets of paper. McBey writes that he wonders how Marguerite is dealing with the "terrific heat"; he says he takes a daily walk, from 5pm to 7pm, although there is not many places to walk to. He notes that he has recently done four "charcoal sketches" of an acquaintance called "Robin". He describes another acquaintance as "Lady Somebody or other, with a Georgian profile - exclusive and country".

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
