About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 14 April 1935. Addressed to "Swytipye" (sweetiepie), McBey attaches a newspaper cutting regarding an incident when a passenger had his wallet rescued from the side of a ship in Ireland. McBey writes that the sex of the passenger was never described in the article. He wonders if Marguerite, at the time of him writing the letter, is currently in the "middle of the Atlantic", and if she is having a pleasant journey. He asks what women think of Marguerite's mink coat.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
