He notes that he went to Newburgh the day before, and asks Marguerite to find out what Colnaghi's have of his on sale, regarding what an acquaintance - Miss Zahn - might see there. He asks for a full list of the titles of the drawings they send. He asks Marguerite to "ignore the list in the black book. It will only complicate matters".
He also writes that he is "starting for Edinburgh tomorrow".
