About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 30 April 1935 - Marguerite's birthday. He recalls a picnic he and Marguerite enjoyed two years previously, including a walk down to the Sherifian Rocks. He asks if Marguerite is thinking of that too, and adds that he wishes they were there together "today". He also notes that an acquaintance, Billy, is going to dinner that evening - and that Billy and "Cunningham Graham" (R.B.) are in the Royal Academy. He describes an artist's work as "interesting" (name is illegible). Also refers to a story about a Van Gogh cafe that was meant to be left in a person's will for a friend of his, Duncan, but that the intention was never confirmed in writing. He also describes the warm air and taking an afternoon off.

He also draws a picture of what seems to be the Egyptian statue referred to in ABDAG008318.95. He wishes Marguerite a pleasant birthday.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
