About MeCorrespondence from James McBey to Marguerite McBey, dated 29 September 1948. Two sheets. James writes that he has sent a letter to the architect Eldridge Snyder, thanking him for his correspondence, the plans, and the sketches. He feels he will not have a difficulty with regards to the size. He notes that it will be necessary for the painting to accompany him on his journey to America, rather than simply sending it. He says that he did not receive a cable referred to in a conversation with Mrs. Palmer. Regarding the date of the delivery of the portrait, he worries he cannot bother Mrs. Palmer any more - "I feel I have bothered her enough". He asks Marguerite if she can get the architect to make the decision.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
