About MeLetter from Wynee Overton (Winifred) to James McBey in an envelope postmarked 24 September 1927. Wynne thanks McBey for the "lovely carnations" which arrived in very good condition, explaining that, "all except about four of them are still as fresh as ever." She then tells McBey that she thinks of him everytime she looks at them, "which is very often as they fill five vases and look lovely."

Wynne then explains that she received McBey's letter and sent the box back that morning. In the rest of the letter she talks about the dreadful weather they had been having lately, which was clear enough one day for her to do some shopping with Ella. At the end on the letter Wynne asks how McBey is getting on with his latest portrait, tells him she had been staying near him in Holland Park Gardens recently, and hopes he will come back soon.

The letter is written to McBey care of Frank R. Burnet Esq.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
