About MeLetter from art collector H. H. Kynett to Aberdeen Public Library, dated 22 January 1952, in which Kynett had enclosed a complimentary copy of James McBey's book "The Mavic's Log." The book was sent by the request of McBey and is devoted to a cruise in McBey's yacht, which took place twenty-five years before. McBey wanted the library to have a copy, because he felt that it was responsible for the initial artistic knowledge that he gained.

The letter consists of one sheet typewritten.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
