About MeCarte de visite of an older woman standing next to a side table with an embroidered table cloth and hanging curtain. Her dress is dark with a full skirt, long loose sleeves with dropped shoulders, and a white collar with large black buttons up the front. Her hair is up underneath a white coif with long ends. A piece of patterned material is hanging over her right arm and in her right hand there is a closed book. On the reverse the photographer's details appear in full.
