About MeHanni Sanders’ (on the right-hand side) sits with two friends from The Grampian Guild of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers demonstrating New Pitsligo lace making. The women wear period costume and are surrounded by textile samples, lace, and lacemaking tools. Hanni enjoyed showing others the craft and sharing her vast knowledge of new Pitsligo lace. She did demonstrations at craft fairs and in primary schools across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Much of the fine quality New Pitsligo lace within our collection was made by Hanni.Qing Dynasty, late 19th century
