About MeThis is one of the earliest samplers in our collection and was stitched by Eliza Luke in 1799.
The top section is worked in letters and numerals followed by a band of pink flowers with green leaves in cross stitch.
The lower part features a dovecot outlined in blue with white doves within a wreath.
The initials of Eliza's family members are embroidered around the wreath.
This sampler has a traditional 18th century undulating pansy band around the edges.
