About MeThis sampler was sewn by O. Forrest in Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, in 1844.
Alphabets, numerals and family initials are interspersed with bands of various stitch patterns.
The lower section comprises motifs including flowers, a tree, a peacock, a castle, a dog, grapes, a crown and a bird.
There is a strawberry border around the edges sewn in unusual colours.
