About MeThis white porcelain teabowl has a distinctive spiral decoration around the body. It is glazed white on white, a technique characteristic of Gilda Westermann's work. Born in Germany, Gilda Westermann moved to England to study at Harrow School of Design and Media in the 1990s. She subsequently established her own studio in London in 1996, specialising in domestic items, such as bowls, jugs and jars. Her pots are made of white porcelain, thrown on the potter's wheel, with gentle, elegant shapes.
