About MeThe bleu céleste ground colour is also known as bleu Hellot after the company's chemist Jean Hellot who invented it. Bleu céleste was first used in 1753 and was expensive. It is thought that the lace style gilding over the body of this teapot was added during the nineteenth century.
More About Me
The pattern of gilding on this teapot looks like lace. Sèvres in France produced top quality porcelain during the 18th century that was popular with kings and queens.
