About MeGordon House studied at Luton School of Art and St. Albans School of Art, then worked as a graphic designer for the Kynoch Press from 1959 60. In 1959, he had his first solo show was in 1959 at the New Vision Centre in Marble Arch, London and founded the 'White Ink', print making studio, where he worked with several distinguished artists of his day such as R. B. Kitaj, Richard Smith, Victor Pasmore, Eduardo Paolozzi and Elizabeth Frink, quickly establishing his position as a key figure in the printmaking revolution of the 1960s.

House's distinctive form of abstraction drew its inspiration from diverse visual sources. He said that the designs in this paintings were inspired by 'the visual magic of printed metallic electronic circuitry as presented in magazine advertisements for new gadgets'.
