About MeThis sherd of pottery was found during the excavations at Aberdeen Carmelite friary in 1994. It is the rim of a tin-glazed bowl which was imported into Aberdeen during the late medieval period.
This sherd was found in an 18th-century context and had probably been redeposited from an earlier context. There is often much disturbance during the 18th and 19th centuries when large foundations and sewers were dug, disturbing medieval material.
