About MeA portrait miniature of George Augustus Frederick, Prince of Wales (the future King George IV), facing left, wearing a blue coat with fur collar, yellow waistcoat and blue sash and badge of the Garter. The miniature is set in a chased gold ring. The motifs on the band of the ring are intertwined thistles.

Although Robertson had hoped to exhibit the miniature George (who had ten illegitimate children) wished it to be:

"delivered on a particular night to a fair lady,
which is as fatal to my purpose as if it were
to be destroyed".
