About MeThis wedding dress was worn by Phoebe Anne Robertson Cooper for her marriage to Alexander Marshall Mackenzie (1848 - 1933). He was the architect responsible for building Aberdeen Art Gallery. The wedding took place in their hometown of Elgin, in Morayshire, on the 14th of September 1876.The cream silk dress is full-length with a train. It is pleated round the lower front edge and features fringing on the apron and round the neckline. It is decorated with frills and bow.
