About MeThis sampler was sewn by Jean Forbes aged 13.
She has used cross stitch and eyelet stich to embroider the alphabets and numerals.
The initials sewn in black thread indicate that these family members were deceased.
The red and green thread and the embroidered peacock indicate that this sampler was probably made in Scotland.
