About MeThis linen sampler is worked in cross stitch and eyelet stitch with each band interspersed with rows of different stitch patterns.
The upper section comprises upper case alphabets and numerals.
The middle section provides details about the sewer: 'Hannah Bosvile was born on December the 16th in the year of our Lord 1741' above boxed family initials surmounted by crowns and interspersed with trees. There is a horizontal strawberry border underneath.
The lower section provides more details about the sewer: 'Ellen Hall was my teacher 1755. Hannah Bosvile is my name England is my nation Moregate is my dwelling place and Christ is my salvation.'
