About MeThis linen cross stitch sampler worked in wool was made by a girl with the surname Wright in Aberdeen and is dated 16 Febrruary 1865.
The upper section comprises upper case alphabets, numerals and family initials interspersed with bands of various stitch patterns.
The lower section comprises various motifs including a yellow flower bush and a purple vase with a yellow flower.
There is a blue herringbone pattern border around the sampler.
