The postcard reads:

"Dear Mr. McBey
We arrived all safe had a note from Pa this morning saying he intends going to Swansea for his holidays but we will let you know when we return to Aberdeen.
Love to Grandmother & yourself Yours Eva XXX"

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this postcard.
