About MeCorrespondence from Marguerite McBey to James McBey, dated 9 September 1948. Marguerite writes with thanks for all that McBey did in Jalobey, and she sends the portrait requirements McBey requested, such as:

"EYES: a delft blue.
HAIR: reddish brown. White touches at temples on Palmer's right side (left side of portrait); whitish touches in parting also.
EYEBROWS: seem very slight & mostly coloured. You have a bluish-green patch at the extreme left upper end of his left eyebrow (right side of portrait).
TIE: Brown hat much redder than the suit. I suppose the original was maroon (deep red) but you have worried it to take with the suit.
SUIT: brown almost the same as the lighten brown background on the right side of the portrait. Shadows are dark brown same as the dark brown background on the left side of the portrait.
FACE: golden sun kissed."

She says she shall take some colour photographs and send them.
