About MeCorrespondence from Marguerite McBey to James McBey, dated 17 July 1948, sent from Havana, Cuba. Four sheets, with handwriting on both sides of each sheet.

She writes how she has received James' two letters, dated 7 July and 9 July. She reveals how she had sent James a letter at the same time as she had sent her mother a letter, and how she is surprised he has not received it. The letter is mainly regarding a relationship dispute. She also later repeats the correspondence of a previous letter, in case James did not receive it. She states that she had sent air-mail versions of bank statements, and that she did not go to Philadelphia. She also refers to her custodian account.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
