About MeThis linen cross stitch and eyelet stitch sampler was sewn by Mary Kellas in 1835.

The upper section comprises an upper case alphabet and numerals followed by family initials.

The initials IK and IF separated by a heart are worked in eyelet stitch and are probably the initials of the sewer's parents.

The first seven letters of the alphabet in upper case are worked in eyelet stitch across the centre of the sampler.

The lower section is decorated with motifs including hearts, crowns, birds, trees, a peacock and a dog.
