About MeThis cross stitch and eyelet stitch sampler was stitched by Isobel Forbes in 1793 in Aberdeen.

The upper section comprises upper and lower case alphabets and numerals above a horizontal floral border.

The centre section comprises an upper case alphabet worked in eyelet stitch.

The lower section has the names John Forbes and Mary Forbes and the year 1793 above motifs including birds, topiary trees, flowers, strawberries and a stag.
