About MeThe painting is Knight’s variation on the recurrent theme of the female within a domestic sphere. This is one of a series of pictures by Knight showing single female sitters absorbed in an activity, such as sewing, reading, or even putting on a shoe. The subject is wearing a loose embroidered blouse, a style which was fashionable in the early 1920s. oil on Canvas, 1921
