About MeThis stoneware medium-sized jardiniere is glazed in a dark speckled rust glaze (tenmoku) over a pale grey ash glaze, finishing short of the foot. The glazes drip over the rim edge inside the pot, with the rest of the interior remaining unglazed.
It is decorated with 2 combed parallel bands around the upper section of body, enclosing a combed waved ribbon.
This piece was made by Fergus Wessel who joined Winchcombe Pottery in 1995. He made mainly domestic pots in traditional forms. Wessel left Winchcombe in 2000 to take up letter carving.
