About MeStoneware circular shallow wheel-thrown dish with narrow foot ring. It is fully glazed in a light red copper glaze, with a pale blue-lilac mottled appearance on the upper surface.
Rupert Spira trained with Michael Cardew at Wenford Bridge before setting up his first pottery in Hampshire. In 1996 he established a new pottery in Shropshire and gained a reputation for throwing elegant stoneware pieces decorated with oriental glazes.
