About MeStoneware beaker known as a 'guinomi', or sake cup, with facetted body, short concave neck, rolled rim and short rounded foot ring.
The sides of the vessel have been cut to create facets and then each facet incised with deep swirled cut decoration. Pale green slip has been applied to some of the cuts whilst others remain unfilled. A tan coloured glaze has been washed randomly over the interior and exterior before firing in a gas kiln with sodium vapour glaze. This process creates a 'orange peel' texture and warm body colour.
